Close to the hot spots

Uster is accessible by public transport and car: Thanks to three motorway connections and the S-train (German: S-Bahn), Zurich city centre, the international Zurich Airport, and various other destinations in the region can be quickly and easily reached.

The following four lines of the S-train pass through Zurich and Uster:

S5 Niederweningen/Rafz – Oberglatt – Zürich HB – Uster – Pfäffikon SZ

S9 Schaffhausen – Rafz – Oerlikon – Zürich HB – Dübendorf – Uster

S14 Affoltern a/Albis – Zürich HB – Oerlikon – Uster – Wetzikon – Hinwil

S15 Niederweningen –  Dielsdorf – Oerlikon –  Zürich HB – Uster –  Rapperswil

In addition, at weekends the night train SN5 operates on the same route, with the same stops, as the S5 train. The individual lines run every half hour, which means that each hour eight trains travel to Zurich and six to the Zurich Oberland region. With the S5 and S15 lines, Zurich city centre can be reached within 14 minutes.

In Uster, there are seven local and six regional bus lines available. Lake Greifensee can be accessed with the ferry service Maur-Uster-Maur.

The Tilia Hotel is located in Uster, between the Neuwiesen and Bahnstrasse streets, just a five-minute walk from the train station, post office, banks, and shopping centre with numerous shops.
